Recovery factor
Net profit divided by the maximum drawdown; how much return a strategy produced for the worst dip it went through.
Recovery factor puts profit and pain on the same scale: a recovery factor of 3 means the account made three times its worst drawdown in net profit over the period measured.
It rewards strategies that grind out steady gains and penalizes ones that made most of their money before a single deep drawdown, which is useful, but it still depends on which drawdown (balance or equity) went into the calculation.
