Equity drawdown
The largest drop in an account's equity (balance plus the floating result of open positions) from a prior peak.
Equity drawdown includes the unrealized loss or gain on positions that are still open, not just the closed ones the balance reflects. For an account that holds losing positions for a long time, or runs a grid, the equity curve can show a much deeper drawdown than the balance curve ever does.
It is the number closer to what a subscriber would have felt watching the account live, since floating losses are real money at risk even before a trade closes.
