Margin call
The point at which an account no longer has enough free margin to hold its open positions, and the broker closes them.
A margin call is not a choice the trader makes; it is the broker’s own risk control stepping in once equity falls below a required level relative to the margin in use. Positions are closed automatically, usually starting with the largest loser.
Strategies that run heavy deposit loads are, by construction, closer to this line. A verdict that flags deposit load or maximum concurrent lots is describing distance from a margin call, not predicting one.
