Monetio vs the MQL5 Reliability score
Every MQL5 Signals page shows a Reliability percentage. The official help describes it only in general terms: it "evaluates in % the risks of this signal relative to others" and "considers profits, drawdowns, risks and many other criteria". The exact formula is not published.
What MQL5 Reliability is
A single relative score, built into the marketplace a signal is sold through. Forum discussion around the published formula fragments suggests it falls with a high deposit load and with very high monthly growth, and rises with moderate growth and load. It ranks a signal against other signals on the same platform; it is not an absolute measure, and it is not independent of the marketplace selling the signal.
| Feature | MQL5 Reliability | Monetio |
|---|---|---|
| Cost to check | Free, built into the signal page | Free tier reads the first 1,000 trades of any file; Plus and Pro read every trade |
| Independent of the marketplace | No: scored by the platform selling the signal | Yes: no affiliation with any signal seller or broker |
| Grid or lot-escalation depth | Not exposed as its own number | Per-level trade count and P&L, with a depth flag |
| Deposit-masked drawdown | Growth shown on a deposit basis; not separated from trading result | Time-weighted return alongside balance drawdown |
| Cost sensitivity for a subscriber on another broker | Not shown | Break-even spread per symbol, broker presets |
Where MQL5 Reliability is the better choice
The Reliability score costs nothing to read, updates continuously as the signal trades, and sits next to growth, drawdown, subscriber count and every other number the signal page already shows, so there is no file to export. For a quick first look at a signal before deciding whether to dig further, it is the faster option.
